IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE TRAINEESHIP HOST ORGANISATION AND DURATION
Traineeship duration
• Within the scope of the 2024 Erasmus Project call, the duration of Traineeship Mobility must be at least two months (60 consecutive days).
• Within a single study cycle, students may carry out Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility for a maximum of 12 months. For example, if you have already benefited from 10 months of Erasmus+ Study/Traineeship mobility at bachelor’s level, you cannot apply for a new Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility in subsequent periods.
• Unless otherwise stated in your grant agreement, your traineeship duration will be funded for 60 days by the International Relations Office.
• It is foreseen that traineeship mobility within the scope of Erasmus will be completed in the summer of 2023.
• Bachelor’s students can obtain information from their department coordinators regarding how many days of the traineeship will count as compulsory and how many as voluntary, and the maximum duration of traineeship allowed.
TRAINEESHIP MOBILITY QUOTA INFORMATION
• The number of students to be funded is 1.
• The total quota indicated above has been determined on an estimated basis. After the completion of applications, the International Relations Office may decide, based on its assessment, that fewer or more students will participate in the activity with grant support.
TRAINEESHIP HOST ORGANISATION AND SCOPE
A traineeship is a period during which a beneficiary undertakes vocational training and/or gains work experience in an enterprise or organisation in another Programme Country. The traineeship programme must be related to the student’s enrolled programme/department and contribute to the trainee at a professional level.
This relevance will later be checked through the approval of the Learning Agreement for Traineeships by the Erasmus+ Department Coordinator; please inform them once you have chosen your traineeship host organisation. The signing of the Learning Agreement for Traineeships or the allocation of grant support by the International Relations Office does not guarantee that your Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility will be recognised as a compulsory internship at Cappadocia University.
When searching for a traineeship placement, based on feedback from our students to date, we suggest that you:
- Talk to your department coordinator and search online for institutions related to your profession and the city/country you plan to go to, using the names of relevant institutions you encounter in your courses.
- Send your CV and a motivation letter (or a short application email explaining your motivation to apply to the institution) to the organisations you have selected, in order to obtain a letter of acceptance. You may send your CV and motivation letter by e-mail.
- If you receive more than one offer, please make sure to inform the institutions whose offers you will not accept.
The following organisations are not eligible as host institutions for higher education traineeship mobility within the scope of Erasmus+:
European Union Institutions and EU agencies, and organisations such as National Agencies that manage EU programmes.
***Following the evaluation of applications, the International Relations Office reserves the right to revise the quotas.
EVALUATION PROCESS
The evaluation process will be carried out in several stages as follows:
• 1st stage: During evaluation, a general ranking will be made without regard to department diversity, and the results of the language exam administered by the School of Foreign Languages of Cappadocia University on 15 March 2025 will be taken as the basis.
• 2nd stage: For candidates who waive from the mobility, candidates on the reserve list with the highest evaluation scores will be contacted in descending order of their ranking.
1. Reserve candidates will be ranked from the highest to the lowest score in each unit, regardless of department differences.
2. In the event that two students from the same department have the same score, priority will be given to the student in the higher year of study. If they are in the same year, priority will be given to the younger student.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF SELECTION AND GRANT ALLOCATION RESULTS
Student selection will be carried out by the International Relations Office in line with the selection criteria specified in the 2024 Erasmus+ Programme Guide and approved by the Cappadocia University Exchange Programmes Committee.
The selection and grant allocation for Erasmus+ student mobility are carried out by ranking the students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria from the highest to the lowest score, taking into account the evaluation criteria and weightings announced by the Turkish National Agency.
IMPORTANT
Candidates who will apply for mobility are responsible for carefully reading the eligibility conditions, evaluation criteria and grant amounts available at https://erasmus.kapadokya.edu.tr/our-activities/erasmus-ka131-project. The evaluation criteria will not be announced separately.
The student or staff member who is awarded mobility is fully responsible for their visa application procedures and the outcome of such applications. Conducting and completing visa procedures is entirely the responsibility of the mobility beneficiary.
